Greek Coins


To make a coin in ancient Greece, they put a lump of precious metal in a die cut in an anvil. Then it was hit with a hammer to force it into the mold.


Athenian Coin

Athena was featured on the coin of ancient Athens.
AR Tetradrachm
On the front, the coin features a picture of Athena, and on the back, one of Athena's owls.


Corinthian Coin

Athena was also featured on the coin of Corinth, except the back featured a Pegasus instead of an owl.

The front of the coin featured a picture of Athena, and the back feature a Pegasus.
